Additional Terms of Service for Yahoo Mail Plus and Yahoo Ad-Free Mail
1. ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND ACCEPTANCE OF THESE ADDITIONAL TERMS OF SERVICE FOR YAHOO MAIL PLUS AND YAHOO AD-FREE MAIL
Welcome to the Yahoo Mail Plus or Yahoo Ad-Free service (the "Service"), owned and operated by Yahoo! Inc. ("Yahoo"), a service through which registered Yahoo Mail users can pay for one or more of premium features for their Yahoo Mail account. For example, Yahoo Mail Plus and Yahoo Ad-Free Mail are premium subscriptions that remove all advertisements from your Yahoo Mail.
BY CLICKING ON THE PAY BUTTON, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE PLUS/AD-FREE TERMS AND ALL DOCUMENTS INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE, SO PLEASE READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY.
2. REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION
In order to sign up for the Service, you must have an existing Yahoo ID. You must also provide your credit card number, billing and other information (“Registration Information”), which will be stored. You agree that the Registration Information you provide is true, valid, accurate, current, and complete and you will maintain and promptly update that information to keep it true, accurate, current, and complete. If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or Yahoo has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, Yahoo has the right to terminate your account and refuse allowing any and all current or future access to or use of the Service by you.
You, and not Yahoo, are responsible for all purchases made through Yahoo or in connection with your Yahoo ID. Yahoo is not responsible for unauthorized purchases or errors made using your Yahoo ID or your Yahoo account. You must resolve purchase-related disputes with and promptly report unauthorized use of your credit card to your credit card company, online payment service provider, merchant, or bank. Your liability for unauthorized use of your card may be limited by your card issuer’s agreement and/or by applicable law. In addition to the uses of account information authorized by the Plus/Ad-Free Terms or any incorporated documents, Yahoo may access, preserve, monitor and disclose your card information in the good faith belief that such action is reasonably necessary to verify your account, to identify or resolve problems, or to respond to inquiries about your Service, but nothing in this section shall impose a duty on Yahoo to make any such disclosures.
3. AUTOMATIC RENEWAL PAYMENT TERMS
The current fee for the Service you have selected will automatically and immediately be charged to your payment instrument or account on the date that you click on the pay button in the ordering process. The Service is provided on an auto-renewal basis commencing on the date that you sign up for the Service until you cancel. You are entitled to cancel the Service at any time. If you choose to cancel the Service, your cancellation will take effect immediately and your account will revert to a free Yahoo Mail account. To cancel the Service you may visit https://payments.mail.yahoo.com or go to your account page. You will receive a partial refund based on the number of days between the anniversary date of your sign up for the Service and your cancellation date.
The amount charged may change. If you do not cancel the Service, you hereby consent that the payment instrument or account that you have on file will also automatically be charged the then-current fee for the Service at the commencement of each renewal period. Details of the current fees will be posted at https://payments.mail.yahoo.com. Fees charged for one service may not be credited towards other services.
Yahoo in its discretion may offer discounts or special offers from time to time. If you have received an offer for a free trial period in connection with signing up for the Service, then you will not be charged for the first time until after your free trial period has ended. Subsequent billing dates will be on the anniversary of your first billing date. For example, if you purchase an annual subscription on October 15th and you get the first 30 days free and if you do not cancel within the first 30 days, then you will not be charged at all until November 14th (there are 31 days in October). Thereafter, you will be automatically charged again on November 14th of each subsequent year, until you decide to cancel. If you receive a discount or special offer during the current term, your billing date will extend for the additional period of the discount or special offer.
4. ACCOUNT UPDATER
5. FRAUD PROTECTIONS
To protect against potential fraud, Yahoo may take steps to verify the validity of the credit card information you provide to us. The verification process may include debiting an amount between $0.01 and $1.00 from your credit card account and then immediately crediting the same amount back to your credit card, as well as asking you to verify the amount debited in order to confirm that you are in possession of your credit card. Yahoo will only use this process to screen for fraud and will not otherwise debit your credit card account except as part of a transaction conducted through your account for the Service. By providing Yahoo with your credit card information, you authorize Yahoo to debit and credit your credit card account for an amount less than one dollar for such verification purposes.
