Yahoo Toolbar

Yahoo Toolbar is a personalized browser toolbar that allows you to access bookmarks, links to Yahoo, and other features from any personal computer with the software installed and an Internet connection. In order to use Yahoo Toolbar, you must download free software, but you do not need to be a registered Yahoo user in order to use it. However, being a registered Yahoo user and logging in will allow you to customize the Yahoo Toolbar.

Information Collection and Use Practices

  • Yahoo tracks clicks on the Yahoo Toolbar in order to improve the Toolbar. This information is not used to target advertising to users.
  • With a Yahoo ID you can create bookmarks that are accessible through the Toolbar and customize other Toolbar features. These settings are saved with your Yahoo ID and available to you when you log into Yahoo. Yahoo counts clicks on the Bookmarks button, but does not track the actual bookmarked sites visited.

    • If you enable this feature, Web Rank transmits URLs of web sites you visit to Yahoo. This may also include redirected and referring URLs.

      • Web Rank will not be turned on without your consent.
        • To use Web Rank, you will need to download Yahoo Toolbar and enable the Web Rank feature.
        • You may disable the Web Rank feature at any time. Directions are found in Yahoo Toolbar Help.
