Yahoo Analytics, Advertising Insights, and Flurry from Yahoo are systems used by Yahoo to collect information about visitors to Yahoo's and our customers' sites and apps.
Information Collection & Use
Analytic tools, such as Yahoo Analytics, Advertising Insights and Flurry from Yahoo, use web beacons, cookies, and similar technology to collect data about visitors to Yahoo's, and our customers’, sites and apps. This data is sent to Yahoo by your web browser or app and is related to your interactions with Yahoo's, or our customers', sites and apps. The data collected commonly includes information such as cookie data and/or device ID, IP address, time spent, links clicked, your location, apps on the device or advertisements viewed on these sites and apps. This data is collected by Yahoo Analytics and other tools so that Yahoo can report statistical information and recognize unique users. This collection does not contain personally identifiable information, such as first name and surname combined, date of birth or telephone number.
We collect this information on behalf of our customers such as our advertisers and publishers. Certain customers may also provide us with personally identifiable information such as email address to incorporate into analytics reports produced exclusively for them. No analytics report details or personally identifiable information are shared with other third parties. We contractually require our customers to post information about third party data collection and sharing practices on their websites unless it is only used for analytical purposes.
Yahoo may also use the data collected through Yahoo Analytics and other tools in order to improve our products and services and provide advertisements about goods and services and content of interest to users.
Your Opt-Out Choices
Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. If you would prefer, you can set your browser to reject cookies or to reject third party cookies only. If you reject cookies, you may not be able to sign in or use other features of websites that rely on cookies to enable the user experience.
If you do not want Yahoo to use information about your activities across sites and apps to personalize ads for you from Yahoo, you can opt out.
